Dr. Alexander emphasizes the most up to date obstetric and gynecologic services with a personal touch. During prenatal visits, mothers are encouraged to be active participants in their care. Spouses and family members are welcome to join in the birth process.
Our goal is to provide each patient with the optimal birth experience. All deliveries take place at the Family Birth Center at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
Dr. Alexander also offers a full range of gynecologic services including natural approaches to menopause, minimal invasive surgery, endometrial ablation for excessive bleeding, myomectomy, and laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy.
Medical therapy is preferred over surgery when possible. If surgery is required, multiple options are presented and the patient is invited to share in the decision making process. Dr. Alexander believes that a well-informed patient is crucial to having an optimal therapeutic outcome.
Surgical services are available at the Monterey Peninsula Surgical Center at Ryan Ranch as well as Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
